Jermaine Jakes faces a charge of indecent exposure related to an incident in a southern Dallas park last month, Dallas police said.
Jermaine Jakes, 29, is accused of exposing himself in front of an undercover Dallas police vice detective at Kiest Park, adjacent West Kiest Boulevard and South Hampton Road, on the night of Jan. 3, police said.
According to a Dallas Police Department arrest warrant affidavit, Jakes exposed himself to two undercover vice detectives at Keist Park.
The affidavit says Jakes walked up to one of the detectives at the park with his pants unzipped. Jakes then began to masturbate while making eye contact with the detective, according to the affidavit.
The detectives arrested Jakes on a charge of indecent exposure.
He was detained at the scene and released.

Bishop T.D. Jakes Speaks Out About Son&#;s Gay Sex Arrest
Bishop T.D. Jakes, the homophobic Dallas megachurch pastor whose son was arrested last week after exposing himself and masturbating in front of law enforcement officers during a sex sting in a widespread park, released a statement over the weekend (which he also read to his congregation) distancing himself from his son's deeds by pointing out that Jermaine Jakes is an adult. Bishop Jakes also says that his son is being shown a “restorative grace” indicative of his ministry.
According to the Dallas Voice, Jakes has said that he would never hire a sexually active gay person, has spoken out against same-sex marriage, and has called homosexuality a “brokenness.”
Jermaine Jakes turned himself in to police last Thursday on an indecent exposure charge.

Celebrity pastor TD Jakes denies gay sex assault claim in his explosive defamation lawsuit
Megachurch pastor TD Jakes brought a defamation claim in November against a former pastor, saying explosive allegations of a decades vintage sexual assault were false.
Former pastor Duane Youngblood, 58, accused Jakes, 67, in a podcast last year of attempting to corner and involuntarily kiss him over 40 years ago.
Last month, Youngblood filed a motion to strike the defamation complaint. His brother Richard filed an affidavit in support of Duane's motion and claimed the megachurch donor preyed upon him years ago when they shared a hotel room during a ministry bed, alleging similar actions to his brother's unique accusation.
Richard wrote in his affidavit: '[Jakes] secured a room with two beds in it, and we went to the room for the night. That night, while I was laying in my bed, I felt Elder Jakes climb into my bed.
