Join Counseling Services and the IDC on the third Thursday of the month to encounter other members of UB's LGBTQ+ group, have some conversation, and enjoy amusing activities. This is a drop-in gathering. No registration is required. There will be three Rainbow Hours this semester at the obeying times.

Nearly a week after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a previous, long-standing tall court ruling on a woman&#;s right to contain an abortion, a Buffalo Grove-based community organization led a local rally to protest the decision.
&#;We contain to scream and lament &#; this is all about action,&#; said Carolyn Pinta, director of BG Pride, which organized the demonstration.
In a decision publicly released June 24, the landmark Roe v. Wade was struck down when the Supreme Court voted 6 to 3 on Dobbs v. Jackson Women&#;s Health Organization, upholding the legality of a Mississippi law that banned abortion past 15 weeks of gestation.
Buffalo Grove police estimated that people attended the &#;Stand with BG Pride&#; rally on June 30 at Mike Rylko People Park, an event held as a fundraiser and protest of the Supreme Court decision. The rally was hosted by BG Pride, a community LGBTQ advocacy organization.
&#;It&#;s about &#;OK, what do we require to do to solve the situations that we know are about to occur?'&#; said Pinta.
The march had a theme of &#;First Roe, we grasp what&#;s next.&#
Pride Week kicks off in Buffalo
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Pride Week has made its big come back to Buffalo. The event kicked off Tuesday with a flag-raising ceremony in Niagara Square.
Organizers include announced the Pride Parade and Pride Festival will
return as in-person events as part of Buffalo Pride Week in June.
Buffalo Celebration Week will take place May 31 through June 5, with the theme of "Homecoming." The parade and festival will be held in person on June 5 after a two-year hiatus due to COVID
Organizers say they are excited to bring the events back and hopefully uplift the LGBTQ+ community.
The Pride March will begin at Elmwood and Forest Avenues and end at Canalside. The Festival will seize place at Canalside at the conclusion of the parade.
Pride Week is hosted by Evergreen Health Foundation, an affiliate of Evergreen Health. Proceeds from the Event Festival support the mission and programming of the Pride Center of Western New York.

Camp Everything in Buffalo Identity festival Parade
The parade road starts at Elmwood Route and Forest Avenue at 11 am; ends at Allen Street.
Artist Adam Weekley recognized a need for content for the youngest Buffalo Pride festivalgoers and LGBTQIA+ youth. He dreamed up Camp Everything, a mobile art installation, and performance, drawing on nostalgic memories of s summer camps. The vibrant float and its legion of happy campers will seize a hike in the Pride Parade and Festival Sunday, June 2, at 11 am. The road starts at Elmwood Way and Forest Avenue; ends at Allen Street.
